PASTOR

Pastor Bill Hinton began as Interim Minister at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren on July 1, 2021.  He was chosen as Copper Hill Church of the Brethren's full-time Pastor on February 20, 2022.  He is a lifelong member of Church of the Brethren and was raised at First Church in Roanoke, Virginia.

He was licensed in November of 2003 and ordained in February, 2007.  He is a graduate of the Christian Growth Institute.  He has served three Church of the Brethren congregations:  Trinity from 2003-2008; Interim at Mason's Cove in 2008; and Bethlehem from 2009-2020.

His wife Carol has been beside (and sometimes out front pulling) all along this shared journey.  She worked 30 years in the roofing and HVAC business and still does so part-time.  She is well suited to be a Pastor's spouse having the gifts of affirmation and encouragement.

They have been married 41 years and together they have three children, two grandchildren, and 3 (soon to be 4) great-grandchildren.  Left at home with them now are their two youngest "boys" Shaq and Sinatra, loving cats they rescued in 2014.  They enjoy traveling to visit family, to see the ocean, or cheer on the Washington Nationals Baseball Team.
